Software QA Standards Set by New UBC Continuing Studies and QA Labs Inc. Certificate Program Track
VANCOUVER, BC – October 21, 2004 – The local software industry will cheer the announcement of a new Testing and Quality Assurance specialization track within the UBC Software Engineering Certificate program. Brainchild of UBC Continuing Studies, Division of Applied Technology, and QA Labs Inc., the specialization provides an industry-endorsed curriculum and standards to software testing professionals while allowing them to maintain their work commitments.
The Testing and Quality Assurance Specialization track is a comprehensive suite of courses for quality assurance (QA) professionals in the Lower Mainland. Its practical curriculum leverages local software testing expertise and builds on UBC's existing Software Engineering Certificate program.
"A strong curriculum in software testing and quality assurance is in demand by local industry," says Trevor Atkins, Vice President Operations, QA Labs Inc.
