QA Podcast Established as a Resource for the Software Testing Community
VANCOUVER, BC – February 10, 2006 – Last summer, QA Labs launched QA Podcast (http://www.qapodcast.com), a series of recorded conversations between two software quality assurance experts. Since then, it's become a recognized resource for software testing, drawing industry experts and over 10,000 unique visitors to the site.
Each podcast is 15 to 25 minutes in length, and focuses on an in-depth technical or business QA issue. Recent podcasts have featured Kent Beck talking about extreme programming and Fergal McGovern discussing the relationship between requirements and testing.
"Found this site by accident but what a great find," remarked one podcast listener in a comment on the site. "I've been in the QA business for over 15 years and enjoyed hearing the comments about outsourcing development and testing...thanks again for such a provocative broadcast."
"We try to keep things simple and focused," says Wolfgang Strigel, President of QA Labs and regular QA Podcast participant. "We want to talk to both industry experts and people in the trenches. That's why we have a safety-critical systems expert one month, and a programmer playing with a Web app testing tool the next. We're trying to build a practical information channel to talk directly with our customers and peers in the software industry."
